Cristina A Schumacher is an expert in language learning and teaching. At the GEN Group, she is the author and coordinator in the area of Portuguese as a foreign language. She wrote the book Uma Gramática Intuitiva – liberte-se das regras e tome posse da língua que você fala (Na Intuitive Grammar – Free Yourself from the Rules and Master the Language You Speak), published by EPU, GEN. With 28 titles published since 1999, she is also a public speaker, coach, translator, evaluator and consultant. Her work is focused on language awareness. In addition to her native Portuguese and the knowledge of a range of other linguistic systems, Schumacher is fluent in English, French, German and Spanish. She has developed and continues to explore the concept of 'Word Management,' the transforming message of which lies in the concept that words do more than communicate.
